Programs & Pricing - Seymour Davies Art Camp

We offer two programs for our campers:

a structured beginner program and
a custom advanced program

You may choose your program prior to the beginning of the camp. Please register for the session that best fits your schedule. Beginner and advanced programs are offered during each session.

Beginner

Oil painting fundamentals

This program introduces campers to the basics of oil painting. This includes understanding value, color theory, using color to suggest form, handling the brush, using medium, building your composition through underpainting, layering, and other techniques.

Suggested for students new to oil painting and students without foundation courses in art.

Advanced

Personalized instruction

Advanced students have a good understanding of the fundamentals and are returning campers who want to explore their own series or subject matter in oil painting. We jointly work out a plan and campers receive structured guidance to achieve their goals.

Suggested for returning students and advanced students looking to build a portfolio for college.

Pricing

The fee is $375. It includes all supplies and materials. For Haas Hall scholars and their siblings the fee is $325 after the $50 discount.

To secure your spot, you must first submit a $100 deposit through this site. Space is limited so they are available on a first come basis. Please note that the deposit is not refundable except when due to extreme circumstances.

After you submit the deposit, you will receive an invoice for the remaining amount which will be due on June 1.
